Rampark Farmhouse, Rampark Co. Louth (Dundalk)

A gorgeous home with loads of history complete with a fun-loving and generous family. This BHIS funded project began in early July, finishing in October. Couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to on site work/living and area of Ireland to explore and enjoy.

Roof - 60ft x 20 ft. Was previously thatched with Polish rye straw. Some of the eave bundles removed were used in the patching of the holes, required in order to lay new material. Water reed was used for coatwork and ridge and finished with ash for a long lasting scalloped block ridge.
